I’m finding that since the beginning of this year, I have become quite obsessed with Asian flavours and cooking. Stir fries, ramen, spices, combinations… all of it. I find the flavours fresh, and not too heavy. I find it great to experiment with, and here is the latest Asian inspired meal I made.
Sesame noodles, with Asian inspired beef meatballs, topped with a fried quail egg.
It was super simple to make – balancing the flavours were the hardest, because I haven’t tasted anything similar as yet. The meatballs were made with 100% beef, egg, lemongrass, ginger and ground coriander. The noodles were cooked, then I added a mix of sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and honey.
I had quail eggs, so decided to top the meal with the egg, some finely cut bamboo shoots and chopped spring onion. The only thing I missed, was some fresh coriander. Which I’ll add when I attempt this again.
